no, I drew pen on my sketchbook page, and then outlined it with black india ink, painting the entire page. I think the sides of the sketchbook pages below are what you're seeing (at the top - kind of like a shiny, rounded surface)
yeah, i definitely thought it was something else, but like buffed to not be reflective... great drawing too. i can't wait til i can draw relatively quickly
Hey Ester, it's always a pleasure catching up with your work here. The warthog stuff is excellent, especially the oil painting. The bunnies are, excuse the term, way cute--a side of your work I don't see often.
I dont like this one in particular ,but the hog one with the two people in there is very well done ,how those colors blend in with the pencil?(is it pencil?) I prefer the Africano as well, anyway um go by my Blog, yes I'm asking you to cause nobody is leaving a damn comment and Im getting bored of it (hey that sounded like a verse of a rap,no actually it didn't...I've embarrassed myself, and I dont like rap, I better leave..........
I thought this was the cover of the sketchbook. Figured you'd finished off another one. Great. I like the bunnies as well. Where did the warthogs come from?
is that some kind of tin?

ReplyDeletecute bunnies are a rarity in my sketchbooks, for sure.
sebastian-that is pencil, and it's smeared into the colored ink with my finger, so that's how it's blended.

well thanks for the compliment Kevin, sadly, no my book isn't finished yet. Painting has slowed me from getting sketchbooks finished fast.
ReplyDeleteThe warthogs were a commissioned painting project that sold today. I was approached via email from someone who had seen my work from this blog.
I like the angle from above and behind. You don't see that much. I wonder if that might be the "guardian angel" perspective...
ReplyDeleteI sure like this one!
