Do you ever try those sketches where you don't lift your pencil from the paper, and you don't let your eye look down from the subject? Sometimes those render some really amazing results!
I like the first sketch best of these three - it's the one that has the greatest sense of impermanence or movement - like the subject is about to change position, flip a page, or look up.
