deer painting

Maybe a painting a day wouldn't be a bad goal either. Just for the practice of pushing paint would make it a good enough reason. This I did yesterday: oil on canvas, 14" x 10".

I like the quietude of this image Ester. :) Paintings, drawings... daily imagery is a wonderful way to stay focused. I've been busy these past several days, and I know I've missed stopping by for a dose of daily drawings! ;)

  2. I know "beautiful" is a bit played out, but this really is. The angle, the space--you're quite the painter as well. I really enjoyed reading your posted reply too--great advise for anyone I think. Anyhow, thank you and James for the wonderful card! It was a real surprise! I'm so behind this year it isn't funny. Hopefully I'll get some out soon!

  3. Ester, thank you. Something about this painting jogged my memory in a very profound way today. I don't know if it was the lines, or the spaces between, but you have helped me come to a realization of a simple truth that my grandfather taught me years ago. Again, thank you.
