This is really wonderful. Awsome lighting. You have to wonder where she is. My first thought is she is standing in the road. Is she waiting for something to arrive, or trying to make a decision? The title suggests a decision; however, the pose makes me thing waiting. Maybe its thought about what she's waiting for. Does she want it to arrive?
hahah! - I love that you're trying to figure it out BGOZ, I have been sitting here for 3 days straight staring at it, wondering the same things to myself!
Oh my Ester this is awesome. I could sit and stare at this painting for hours. Or gaze at it then walk away just to find I need to go back and wonder what she is thinking or waiting for.
This is BEAUTIFUL! Did you work from a picture, or entirely from imagination? I love to imagine what she's looking up at.... Well worth the wait Ester. ;)
I referenced a photo, but cropped everything out down to one figure, which I loosely followed along with paint. But it was a black and white, so I turned it colorful with my oils.
Oh my. I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteLove the sense of space here. How big is this one?
ReplyDeleteThis makes me feel, which is a measure (my measure) of art. Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteIt speaks volumns. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much for all your thoughts :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you anonymous - that's a good measure to judge against.
Dimensions 14" x 12"
