I planted my first tulip bulb today and I have never had a green thumb, so fingers crossed here. I'm just going on the hope that I get a flower out of it. And for a little spoiling, I went to the book store and found this old Sleeping Beauty book, illustrated in the silhouette cut-out shapes of
Arthur Rackham (apparently he did this alongside his beautiful watercolors. I wasn't previously aware). I got it for a really good price, and plan to gesso the pages all around the illustrations, then use this for a sketchbook that I can paint in. Maybe I can even incorporate some of these fun illustrations in my art too!
