WOW!!! I'm curious by what you mean 'cut it out?' It looks like you painted it on wood (balsam wood?) This one is soooo pretty! argh... I want to leave work right now and try this!!!
Actually, I probably should have stated a little more clearly on the blog. I digitally "cut it out" by scanning the image into Illustrator, then drew the outline of the figure with the pen tool. Then I made a clipping mask to "cut off" the excess of the painting, to get rid of all the wood part around the girl. The original painting was done on birch that I bought at Lowes. Thanks for your interest!
