"E is for Endless" - Illustration Friday
My thought was the cycle from life to death, and back to life. I thought the seed in her hair might represent some of that. Also, I have been thinking about the way that we, as people today, might be able to relate to people born thousands of years ago too. We all seem to have some similar traits and we all might connect in basic ways. Her gaze in this painting could be from any age.
I was most happy about painting these eyes. Kind of a first for me to get a decent representation via oil on wood. From my imagination too. yay!
The word that immediately cam to mind...STUNNING.
ReplyDeleteI have added your blog to my list of favorites. I agree with you...I love the eyes.

ReplyDeletesome of your work looks extremely similar to the paintings of audrey kawasaki. i'm sure you've heard of her, if you aren't trying to duplicate her style of figure painting.
ReplyDeletealso, the nature stuff, especially the skull with horns, looks much like tiffany bozic.
